« Short Film: Green Eye for The Common Gal (The) Sky Turns Green »

REM are singing along to the BBC Climate Chaos television ads, and seeing those apolcalyptic images whizzing across the screen makes for worrying watching. I will be sure to see as many of the series of programmes as possible, and I hope that the hard hitting ads will lure the more complacent members of society to watch the series too. I have high hopes that this well advertised series will be reaching out to those members of society that wouldn’t usually worry about the state of the planet, and give everyone a proverbial “kick up the backside”.

The series starts on Wednesday 24th May 2006, 9pm on BBC One, with David Attenborough’s Are We Changing Planet Earth?

If you want to know more about climate change, the BBC have compiled a list of information sites, organisations and blogs that they consider to be reliable sources of information: Climate Change on the Web.

You can also watch eight short films showing the effects of climate change around the world online. (For legal reasons this is only available in the UK).
