Spring into green cleaning with eco-friendly scourers, sponges and cloths from EcoForce, manufacturers of practical, everyday, household products from recycled materials. We all need to do our bit to help the environment and using recycled products instead of those made from virgin materials helps reduce landfill and conserves fossil fuels.
Reduce carbon emissions by using your tumble dryer less and hanging out your washing to dry using EcoForce’s new Recycled Peg Basket, Clothes Pegs and Clothes Line. EcoForce’s Clothes Pegs are strong and durable, and made from 93% recycled plastic. They contain no metal parts to rust or wood to stain clothes.
Instead of binning your left-overs at meal times pop them in a bag and close with EcoForce’s Recycled Bag Grips made from 93% recycled plastic.
EcoForce has been selected by British designer, writer and TV presenter Kevin McCloud as one of his Green Heroes at Grand Designs Live, Excel, London this week (w/c 4.5.10). Stop by and see them if you’re at the show.
I’m delighted to be giving away ten goody-bags full of EcoForce recycled household products (value of goody-bag £15) to 10 lucky commenters. It’s so nice to see the increasing numbers of green companies trying to make a difference. It seems as though they find a niche where eco-consciousness and consumerism can co-exist.
I’ll throw my name into the ring hoping to be a winner
.-= Richard @ Eco Living Advice´s last blog ..Are Green Gadgets Just Greenwashed Consumerism? =-.
Well can I stick Teign Estuary Transition (South Devon) into the hat too.
I agree we should all contribute to helping to reduce landfill and conserve fossil fuels.
Imagine if everyone in the UK swapped to recycled pegs the difference that would make.
Greater awareness of how we can help can only be a good thing.
Really good to see these days that practical tips are so readily available to help everyone to do their bit in the ‘eco recovery’ stakes. Please enter me in the prize draw.
I’ll give it a try and keep my fingers crossed
Besides the obvious benefits, I like to recycle. It’s fun to reuse things and I hate to throw stuff away if it can be passed on to someone else or put to a different use.
This goodie bag would give me a good incentive to clean up my flat
Let the force be with me!
well how exciting to be in with a chance of winnig
The way to make a real difference is by encouraging everyone to start making small steps towards being greener – every little step helps!
I am always looking for ways to be more environmentally friendly without giving up basic conveniences. This would be great.
I would be able to replace all my non-eco products with these. Which has got to be a good start. We can all make a difference no matter how small it seems. This is the way forward
‘Green’ is my favourite colour
It is always good to know that there are ways we can contribute to making a difference to the enviroment. We only have one planet so lets all try looking after it for the sake of our children and our childrens children and many more generations beyond that.
If you change the little things the big things follow easily.
I would love to have some eco pegs! never use a drier, to be honest, not for eco reasons just cause I love the feel of air dried (and cause there was only room for a washing machine in my kitchen
I’m trying my best to be green, so would love a helping hand! Curiously, my teenagers are not very bothered, so I’m constantly fishing cans, cardboard and plastics out of the ‘normal’ bin – aren’t kids taught to be eco-friendly at school, or are mine just rebellious? !!
Every little helps
I try & buy as much recycled & green products as I can, so this Goody bag would be absolurely brilliant.
Eco friendly, economic
EcoForce is always my pick!
Just in time! The sun is out and the laundry is begging for a bit of sunshine and fresh air – just like me!
We all have to do our bit..however small that may seem to be. Great competition and good luck to all x x
why cant everybody do their bit to be green
you dont need chemicals to get clothes clean
its not so expensive choosing eco range
and we should all be responsible fo climate change
the stuff we use,(most of its waste)
is making this world a trrible place
so recicle wisely, and choose with more care
we’d cut down less trees, and have fresher air
if we all changed one thing, and change what we do
things would be better, the pegs are great too.
buy a clothes horse – and fold things properly so that they need little if any ironing
also – if things are just damp enough to iron and you have no time to iron them when you take them off the line – put them in the freezer, folded and ready to iron at the right dampness. This is especially good for linen which becomes easier to iron when first folded and frozen.
Can’t wait to get washing
I use an eco washing powder and would never want a tumble dryer, so prefer to hang the washing outside. Its great that an everyday product like the clothes pegs are now available eco friendly
My home is green throughout – literally!!
ECO STUFF
IT MUST BE WORTH A TRY
What a great idea, love the bright green colour as well
Great idea and a great website.
I’m glad to see so many people interested in ecological products!
I alwyas try and be ‘Green’ now my washing can be too.. Fingers crossed
Since working at a school I have become more aware of the need to use ecological products. More of us need to understand and start putting this into practice.
Pass it on . . .
Now a days they is no reason not to be green with so many supermarkets stocking green cleaning things like soap powder etc.
recyled peg and basket, Im all for that one, what a fab idea
Ecoforce make being green so much easier by having such a big supermarket presence. I’d love to win their goody bag!
Recycled pags and ditch the tumble drier – very eco friendly!
its good to see so many people interrested
Be green or be obscene !
it’s great to see more companys are offering green prizes long may it continue well done ecostreet
Yes please. I would like to do what I can to help our environment.
Another green great idea.
I’m trying my best to be as green as possible, not only for the country and world we live in, but for my own pocket. I prefer to live in a healthier, greener and cheaper world!
Great idea for recycling and if the pegs eventually break they could still be used to mark rows of seeds in the garden
i love green
Would be nice if all non-recyclable plastic was banned.
Grow my own on an allotment, recycle and save water for watering plants. Hopefully doing my bit for the environment.
Its great that there are so many eco friendly products to chose from these days! there really is no excuse for not doing your bit, no matter how small
Can’t wait to try them, if lucky enough to win.
GO GREEN
Now thats a really good peg, hate the wastage of pegs and not happy with wooden ones. Less in the landfill is never a bad move, hope I am lucky.
Thank you
Looks well green to me! Most useful now that the sun is back too!
I think it’s brilliant that more and more people are catching on to the importance of recycling.

I really need this as my pegs are loose in the basket and keep ending up in the washing machine – sooner or later one will get stuck and break the machine

save the environment with eco pegs
Looks like Eco is on the up. One seat gained in the Election
Great to see so many green products in one place. Would love to see the re-use element promoted, too. So many things have an “after life” if you think laterally.

Would love to win this. Good luck for everyone
Eco is forever x
Despite my voting for the Greens last night, it seems the country are as determined as ever not to listen to their message. Well, I for one will not be disheartened and intend to redouble my efforts to do my bit. This prize would be a great start to my resolution. I hate the wooden pegs the wife uses – they are due for being replaced and I know she will go for the wooden ones again. And eco-friendly scourers – I didn’t even know they existed and I consider myself pretty clued up on what’s around!
I can now be clean and green!
what a great prize, trying to be green is just getting into the habit of do things differently, just simple things like always taking you own bags the the supermarket have been amazed by how many bags have not piled up in the cupboard. to win this would wonderful
great prize
would love to win
super enter me
me please
cool prize
I like to try and go green where I can. What gets to me is when people say there is their bit won’t make a difference so they do nothing. If everyone thought like that we’d be in a worse state than we are. A great addition to my efforts, hopefully.
Sounds good to me, would love to win thanks!
I recycle what I can and encourage the kids to do the same!
This is a wel needed set for me as I have resolved to no longer use my drier!! Please let me win this so I can be greener!
I think that laundry is best dried outside, not only because it is cheaper, quicker and more environmentally friendly, but it actually smells fresher and is easier and quicker to iron.
Everybody should try to do a bit to help the environment, all those little bits add up and make a huge difference.
Would like to give this a try and i am loving the bright green!!:0)
I would love to win this! We are a family of 5 and try to do as much as we can to help the environment! We recycle as much as is physically possible, including all waste food going into our composter! Please consider me for this prize, thank you

I compost, recycle, don’t use a car, don’t have a lot of waste and use eco products when ever I can. This all sounds right up my street
Thankfully it’s becoming more and more unacceptable NOT to be green!
We always try to be as green as we can in this house :0)
Lovely prize and good for the environment too.

What a fantastic opportunity to make the world a better, greener, safer place.
Thank you very much and good luck everybody.
Yes Please!
If it’s good enough for Kevin…Iwant it!
Brilliant prize. We recycle everything we can, clothes, furniture, plastic, paper and collect wood for burning.
love one please
ECo forever renewables rule!
We recycle all our rubbish or as much as possible and use longlife carrier bags and our own bags if we are doing alittle shopping and when we get it online (we are disabled so cant carry a lot) we ask them not to use carrier bags! I think we do our best for the enviroment but I am sure we could do more! These goody bags might make us think of other things we could do! Thankyou!
this will be start new friendly washer next
A great way to start making a difference
Every one should recycle but alot of people dont.Makes me sad when some people just dont care.
I hate using the tumble dryer and avoid it if I can, as long as its not raining I always peg my clothes outside to dry!
Green is my favourite colour; kind to nature & the environment.
Some great ideas and easy to do too. Yes please

Was always using my tumble dryer but when it finally broke down I decided not to get a new one and to do my bit for the planet.
I now use my washing line like never before so need some pegs as mine keep breaking!

Wow what a great website,Ive been trying to do my bit to help the environment lately like recyling more rubbish etc,as being a parent makes you more aware of the type of world we are creating for our childrens children etc to grow up in.This website has some great new ideas and handy hints for me to try at home with my daughter so we can both do our bit for the environment. This product to win is such a fab idea and would love to add them to my eco collection.x

I have used this shit and it really works.
Green is good!!
Saving the planet and stylish too, bring on the washing!!
how cool is that!
I work in a school and am forever promoting green products to the young… afterall its their future that is under threat
Cleaning up the home and the environment, what more could you want!
My current peg bag is a ‘recycled’ gift bag, but it’s on its last legs so a proper one would be great!
It’s another great idea from ‘ecostreet’!
Looks Fab, Green, my favourite colour.
great idea, great prize
Good idea. Like the colour too.
I find it amazing just how many shops still look at you as if you are mad when you refuse a plastic carrier bag, and insist that you want to use your own one! I always carry at least 2 reusable ones in my handbag and keep one in the car too.
Its great to see new recycled ideas.
A proper bag would enough me to start to help the environment.
This would be great for me to use
Eco everything! Its exactly what we need! Keep up the wonderful earth friendly work!! xxx
Will do anything to help save the planet. The state of the food chain, in my opinion, is dire.
