Barrel wood is bent into shape.
Also in order to achieve that bend, the wood has to be planed so that the middle is wider than the two ends.
So how can this be made into flooring??
Are we sure they haven’t just burned some letters onto a few planks?
I agree this looks like a great idea. Think it could really add something interesting to a kitchen floor.
I can see where The Ville is coming from in the point made above and would love to know if they are 100% made from whisky barrels.

Regarding the shape of the barrels – the flooring with the branded markings is made from the flat barrel tops while the curved staves are machined down to matching sizes and both lid and stave pieces are used. I can also confirm that 100% of the flooring supplied as Whisky Barrel flooring is made from oak whiskey barrels.
