I'm still in possession of the gowns my mam dressed me and my sister in! (we were born in the '70s). Only difference seems to be ours have 1 inch ties round the back (which mam never used). I have kept both christening gowns and they are still in good condition. Not sure if they will last for my kids kids! Lets see.
