You can also make solar tea or "sun-tea" with loose tea (which in my opinion is much better!
All you need is a LARGE tea-ball (a strainer for loose tea) or a tea pouch (a paper pouch made to hold loose tea!)
You can also make solar tea with loose tea by simply putting the loose tea in the water and then straining it through a fine sifter before serving it.
Enjoy your tea!

Just a follow-up question. How long does it take for the tea to diffuse? Would two hours on a warm day do the job?

That is a great idea for those hot days. It could be especially helpful when you are going on treks or camping. Nice post. Keep up the good work.

I love Rooibos and sun tea. I usually mix Chamomile and Spearmint with my Rooibos. Steeps by day and knocks me out at night.

That's a great idea to put the jar in the sunlight to get it filled with sunlight photons and energy.
Will keep that in mind! Thank You!

I like the fact you can pretty much make it how you want it, I'm normally not into what I call 'fancy tea' but I've been drinking strawberry and mango tea by Twinings recently which is amazing (made with a kettle im afraid, it's snowing here!). Might try something like this if we can get a summer this year in England :D

Arrived here via MyBlogLog.
I've never heard of solar-tea before. What a great idea - only problem at the moment is that I live in England and it's snowing!
I'll remember this in the summer though.
Mike.
