Midlothian Council are offering free emission tests to Midlothian motorists in an attempt to cut emissions and fuel usage.

“Carbon dioxide, although not directly harmful to human health, is the most significant of the greenhouse gases contributing to climate change.”

Cllr Jack Aitchison, environment protection committee chairman

If you are in the area, you can find out whether or not your vehicle meets the required limits. Free emissions testing events are being held on 24 July at Sainsbury’s in Straiton, 21 August at Tesco in Hardengreen, 18 September at Sainsburys in Straiton and 16 October at Tesco in Hardengreen.
