Starting tomorrow and for the first time in the UK, tuc tucs will be on the streets of Brighton, making getting about the seaside town just a little bit greener and lots more fun. The fleet of 12 vehicles are virtually emission free because they are run on CNG (compressed natural gas), and the vehicle operators, Tuc Tuc Ltd. will be opening their filling station to help the public go green too.
The individually decorated tuc tucs, from the tongue-in-cheek Burberry-clad “Chavrolet” to the fruity “Strawberry” are set to become a big tourist attration and will operate 7 days a week, all year round.
If you’re planning a trip down to the seaside, why not make it a green one by catching a train to Brighton and hailing a tuc tuc at the station to get you to the beach? The route runs along the Brighton seafront from Hove to Brighton Marina, calling in at the station.
Tuc Tuc Ltd. have just been granted a licence to run a fleet of tuc tucs in London starting in May 2007. And they won’t stop there, keep an eye out for a fleet of tuc tucs coming soon to a city near you.

These Tuc Tucs are not green. They are mobile deathtraps and their drivers are lacking in responisble and decent road behaviour. Take them off the streets of Brighton!
I think it’s really great that tuc tucs have finally arrived in europe. They are small enough to dodge traffic and more eco than other moterised road cloggers.
Tuc Tucs in brighton, come to the seaside and ride in a death trap!!!! Your better sticking to rides on Brighton Pier, they are safer. Tuc Tuc drivers have no special training so you place your life in their hands. You have been warned. Not welcome in Brighton, Sorry cute but a menace!!
