I think i found this post very late, however, it is great to read your post. Everyone nowadays wants to have an electric car as it is Eco friendly and with global warming it is our need. Atleast i can say that i dream of an electric car. In addition, i have heard Toyota is working on solar power driven car.

I moved to DC after college because of the Metro rail system – I always wanted to live in a city where I absolutely never ever ever would need a car – DC is great in that respect (among others).

I live in a town of 60,000 and my favorite mode of travel is walking. Walking gets me where I want to go and it keeps down my weight and blood pressure which are problems for me. Just yesterday I met a friend at the movie theater and she asked, “Where did you park?” I replied,”At home.” She was shocked that I would walk one mile instead of drive. “It was only one mile … one mile,” I told her. Not really far at all. You would have thought I had said that I hiked in from another city.
