I try to track down recycled Kraft paper and then let my son have great fun decorating it with paint, stickers, crepe ribbon etc. It's important that you avoid things made out of metal and plastic that can't be easily removed so that the paper can still be recycled.

We also make paper gift bags that can be reused another year.
