Hebden Bridge, home to artist and general green bod Jason Elliot as well as the Alternative Technology Centre, will now also be hosting The Big Green Weekend over the 24th, 25th and 26th of May 2008. The event is action packed and full of green goodness, a small sample of which includes The Big Green Market at Hebden Bridge Marina; tours and tastings at the Little Valley Organic Brewery; Re-Made in Hebden: an exhibition and sale of work by local artists, craftspeople and designers made using reclaimed materials; canal boat trips; and a straw-bale building demonstration at the aforementioned Alternative Technology Centre.
