As an afterthought... We are prolonging our own lives while at the expense of the earth and we must reach a balance and create sustainable future for everyone. Global and Warming are two words which have been beaten to death by the media... I am all for being green and saving the world, but every time I see the words global and warming on the same page I tend to skim the article so quickly I find nothing worth reading about... I think that the community may want to spread it's focus a little bit and maybe remind people that the importance is more than just a few rising temperatures here and there. Global warming sounds far to pleasant for those of us up north.

Have you considered the earth also has natural warming and cooling cycles which are repeated every few thousand years? Yes it is bad that we pollute. Yes we should stop polluting. Great. This is all old news. We need to stop talking about it and forcefully legislate change. It makes no difference at the end of the day whether the world temperatures rise or fall. We can grow and adapt. It is most likely futile to fight. Yes it is possible that hundreds of millions may die in floods. That can happen. It is not just "carbon emissions" Everyone in the entire planet should take a step back and consider three basic R's. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Obviously we should care more about what we put into the sky. We should also be careful about what we put in and take out of the earth. We are killing the planet piece by piece. Our consumerist society is an interesting thing to watch.
