Eco-DIY: turn an old magazine into a cool coiled paper basket

When you’ve finished reading your favourite magazines, perhaps you put them into your paper recycling, or maybe they just stack up somewhere collecting dust? Here’s a terrific idea from esprit cabane to turn old magazines into a beautiful, functional and environmentally sound item. If you don’t have time to make a beautiful basket like this, here are some lovely baskets handcrafted in Nepal by artisans in the remote mountain villages of Lapa, Tipling and Shertung. They are made using discarded plastic wrappers:

This site is very helpful to conserve enviroment with the concept of recycle and reuse will you Please provide an instruction to make magagine basket with the paper roll up tightly into sticks and joint together in order to give a shape of basket.

what kind of glue must be used?

Hi Ganuk, I see that in the tutorial rice glue is used, or as alternative, white glue diluted with a little water. For the recipe for rice glue, have a look here. Happy paper basket making!
