Make your own eco-friendly shoes

If you happen to be in the vicinity of Totnes in Devon on Saturday the 20th September or the 11th October, why not try your hand at making your own eco-friendly shoes. Green Shoes is holding a fun one day workshop for wannabe green cobblers to try their hand at making a pair of shoes or a handbag or belt. The course is suitable for complete beginners, giving you all the the support, tuition and materials you need. It will cost you £95 to make a pair of boots and £85 for sandals or accessories. Crepe rubber soling and leather offcuts are used to make the shoes, and materials for decorating them will also be provided, although you can choose to bring along your own embellishments in the form of fabric, beads or ribbons to use too! Places are limited and you must book.
