Friends of the Earth are asking us to lobby our MPs to support a Climate Change Bill to be included in the 2006 Queen’s Speech as part of The Big Ask campaign.
Big Ask. Big Month. Big Lobby runs from 12 September – 11 October.
In November, the Government will set out its to-do list in the Queen’s Speech. We need MPs to call for a climate change bill to be on that list.
It’s the Cabinet who makes the final decision – and they’ll only include a climate change bill if they feel the heat from all 646 MPs.
That’s why, during September and October this year, we’ll be asking you to talk to your MP.
The only way to get it done is to get involved.
This seems to be the first sane, reasoned way out of what is basically an international emergency. Any person out there who has any concern about global warming in this country, who feels powerless like I did, should think about getting involved in the Big Ask.
