The 2006 Delabole Wind Fair is being held on Saturday 26th August (Bank Holiday weekend) at the Delabole Windfarm, near Camelford in Cornwall.

Doors open at 2pm and entrance if free.

There will be lots of fun for all the family, and lots to learn about renewable energy and climate change. Planned activities include: sky-hooked power-kiting,storytelling tent and lots of local and organic food.

Experts will be answering questions on generating electricity at home with solar panels, mini wind turbines and micro-hydro power and many organisations will be talking about renewable energy and Climate Change – Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, Good Energy, Regen SW, Surfer’s against Sewage, The Women’s Institute and many more.

In the evening there will be a Wind Farm Debate – sure to be controversial – and later four great bands, The Autons, Bodhi, Schmuck and the Blighters who will play into the night beneath illumated turbines!
