FOEI Photo Competition: Climate Justice

Friends of the Earth International have launched their first ever photo competition, with the theme of Climate Justice.

FOEI are looking for striking photographs that will illustrate the impact that the changing climate is having on the environment and show who is responsible for dangerous climate change, for example:

the impacts of climate change: featuring people in low-lying countries, or people whose ecosystems and livelihoods are being affected by climate change.

the drivers of climate change: the culprits, such as the polluting oil and transport industries.

the solutions to climate change: windmills, bicycles and other green energy alternatives

the resistance to climate change: the people around the world who are calling for a stop to dangerous climate change and a transition to a sustainable energy future.

The winning pictures will be featured in the Friends of the Earth International 2007 wall calendar and in a travelling photo exhibit, and the entry deadline is 15 July 2006.
